Vic: DNRE says Linton inquest being sidetracked
Department of Natural Resources and Environment lawyers say an inquest into the deaths
of five firefighters killed during the 1998 Linton bushfires is being sidetracked and
drawn out with unnecessary information.
Halfway through day 73 of the inquest, the department's counsel ROBERT REDLEICH QC,
has urged state coroner GRAEME JOHNSTONE to set parameters of evidence.
