Qld; Two men injured in separate assaults in Brisbane
Police say two men have been injured after separate assaults in Brisbane overnight.
According to police, a 23-year-old man suffered stab wounds to the shoulder and hand
after an incident in inner suburban Fortitude Valley around 10.30pm (AEST) last night.
He was taken to nearby Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment but was not admitted.
A 37-year-old man has been charged with unlawful wounding, assault occasioning bodily
harm and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He's due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
Earlier last night, two men went to a house in Strathpine, in Brisbane's northern suburbs,
around 8pm (AEST) and allegedly began hitting a man over the head and back with what may
have been a baseball bat.
The two assailants fled after the assault and the injured man was admitted to Redcliffe
Hospital, where he's in a stable condition.
